Another British Drama

I haven’t watched the new Oprah interview with Harry and Meghan but the drama I’ve heard about is great. Taking down the British monarchy by spilling tea (again).

Apparently what Harry and Meghan are claiming is that the royal family was concerned about Archie’s skin color due to Meghan being black and that was the reason they cut Archie out of a royal title. It’s disappointing but not surprising considering that they care more about that than about Prince Andrew touching little girls. That doesn’t seem to be a subject of concern in the royal family even with the current evidence.

Just like with the stock market, I have learned more about the British Monarchy and line to the throne in the last 24 hours than I have in my entire life. Honestly I had no real reason to learn about it. I’m not British and I don’t care just like millions of fellow Americans.

This drama is not super controversial in my opinion. I feel like the rest of the world when they were watching the American presidential election last year. this whole British drama is like an episode of Bridgerton. It’s fun to watch honestly and I hope the entire racist aspect of the Monarchy gets taken down. We’ll have to wait and see if God saves the Queen from this one.

And this is not to mock the UK but they do the exact same thing when this stuff happens to us. Unfortunately it happens to us way more often (America is like the Florida of the world right now). The UK’s only controversy in the last year was the prime minister telling everyone to not wear masks and then catching COVID ironically. Also Brexit but I don’t know enough about Brexit to comment on that.

With that being said, I saw something on twitter that said “Season 16 of The Crown is going to be wild”. As someone who doesn’t watch The Crown, I will definitely watch it if they make a season about this current drama. Choose any redhead in Hollywood to play Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can play herself.

Have a good week.
